Spiced Almond Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 c. unsalted butter
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 tsp. Blue Crab Bay Co.® Chesapeake Bay Seasoning
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour, unsifted
  • 36 or so Blue Crab Bay Co.® Dune Buggies Almonds
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Soften butter in the microwave, then add sugar and mix until creamy. Stir in the almond extract and seasoning. Gradually mix in the flour until ingredients are well-blended. Use a tablespoon to scoop out the dough, and form it into a ball. Place the balls of dough on a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart and flatten slightly. Bake for about 12 minutes; cookies will be light in color. Remove from oven, and gently press an almond into the center of each cookie while it is still soft. Carefully remove the cookies with a spatula onto a cooling rack. Allow to cool completely before serving. Yield: about 3 dozen.
